 The National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC), founded in November 1946, is a public research institute, dedicated to science and technology, which carries out its activity in multiple fields, such as transportation, buildings, structures, hydraulics, water resources and environment, construction materials, dams, and related fields, taking advantage of a significant experimental infrastructure, a close relationship with practice and the multidisciplinary competences of its staff. It has a staff of about 500 members and 125 research fellows. LNEC regularly cooperates with national, European and international research institutes and participates in research projects under the EU R&D FP. |
